Our Wedding Details
I’m still in awe at how amazing our wedding was and it was over a year ago! No one asked me for any of these details, but for my own personal record I wanted to jot down tidbits about each item that created our milestone event! Weddings are expensive, so my advice is don’t waste money on wedding things that don’t excite you! Our wedding was very special, in part because we made sure there was sentimental value added to everything – but not too much to get stressed out! If you overthink each tiny detail you will burn out, just make sure the day is meaningful to you and don’t get too caught up on the rules of what you supposedly “need” to have. I Spent the Summer on a Farm!
It is a dream of mine to have land and start our own farm. I didn’t have a lot of hands-on experience, which I knew would be critical to starting my own business, so last year I sought out a local farm – but which one? I actually discovered it while at brunch!
Hello 2019!

Virginia Hikes
Since moving to Virginia, we’ve been trying to take advantage of the amazing hiking opportunities in this area. With Shenandoah National Park nearby, it’s so easy for us to take an awesome day hike or even an overnighter at the drop of a hat.
Here are some of the trails we have done during our time here so far! Continue reading “Virginia Hikes”
Hello 2018!
I refer to my New Year’s Resolutions as goals and I rarely make new ones. Each year I usually just list the previous year’s objectives again with a few tweaks. Continue reading “Hello 2018!”
The App That Cured My Bad Habit!
As a person that loves to-do lists, I was immediately intrigued when my sister-in-law showed me the app Habitica about a year ago. You can either download the app on your phone or log in to your account using your computer. It’s essentially a to-do list app that gives you points for completing your tasks. It combines lists with a game so I downloaded it right away! Continue reading “The App That Cured My Bad Habit!”
Cygnets! Goslings!
There weren’t any swan babies last spring, but a pair of cygnets were born in Pond Meadow Park this year! We went for a walk last night and I brought my camera to take pictures and video. They are so cute!! We also saw this year’s goslings, but we haven’t seen any ducklings yet. Continue reading “Cygnets! Goslings!”
