Hello! My name is Rebecca Snow Hartnett and welcome to Flourish and Blogs! My blog name is a play off the name of a store in Diagon Alley called “Flourish & Blotts”. It’s a bookstore in which Harry Potter purchases the books he needs each year for his classes at Hogwarts. I decided on the name because I felt it was a perfect way to mix my love of Harry Potter, books, blogging, and I like that the word flourish means to thrive. In my life, I strive to not merely plod along and get by, but to live in faith and flourish.
I started this blog because I love to write and I am here to share my unique perspective with you. Enjoy!

- I married my high school sweetheart in September 2017 after nearly 10 years together.
- I love Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Disney, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars – nerdy stuff!
- I have a bachelor of science in nutrition and a master’s degree in public health.
- I run a small cut flower farm in the Shenandoah Valley.
