Last year I wrote a post about my goals for 2019:
- Start our farm
- Stay active, hike, stretch/splits
- Write stories and work on my children’s book ideas
- Improve my vlogging and editing
- Continue vegetarianism/pescetarianism
- Use a scrubbie cloth for dishes instead of a sponge
- Plan our honeymoon!!
So, how did I do?
We were able to get a start on our farm by purchasing our house on 5 amazing acres. I planted peonies to get them established and grew zinnias, sunflowers, cucumbers, and pumpkins in our little garden plot. I registered for the Floret Online Course for January 2020. I am so excited to experiment and make more progress next year!
We didn’t get to go hiking as much as we normally do because we were busy house hunting and moving. I did do a lot of Pilates this year and it reinvigorated my love for it!
I didn’t do a whole lot of writing, but I did flesh out one of my ideas for a children’s story. I plan to carve out some time next year for writing and reading.
It’s pretty subjective to be able to say if my video editing has improved, but every time I make a video I learn something new so I’d say that’s a win!
My pescetarian diet is going well.
I used a scrubbie cloth instead of a sponge for dishes all year! Greg grew up using a cloth and I grew up using sponges. It seems like a silly goal, but I wanted to see if I could get used to it and I did!
I fully achieved my goal of planning our honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand. We went on a three week trip in January 2020 so check out those blog posts as well!
2019 was a year of adulting and self-improvement. Onward!
Thanks for reading!
